Fiber Arts Classes

The following classes are on-going:

  • Beginning weaving on a pre-warped 4-shaft loom
  • Beginning spinning
  • Beginning knitting

The classes are small so that you will get a lot of individual attention. We are also considering teaching a class in skirting a huacaya fleece for a Fleece Show and possibly some felting classes or other styles of weaving.

Note: The picture is Navajo style weaving on a Navajo loom, not a 4-shaft loom. This class was offered in 2009.

If you are interested in any of these classes or other types of classes

  • Fill out our contact form and we'll notify you when we are offering the classe(s) you wish to take.
  • Let us know on the form if there are other classes you would like us to offer.
  • Check back periodically to see what is scheduled.

Neonatal Clinic with hands-on lab:  Sunday, August 1, 2010

This workshop teaches you the basics of pregnancy, birthing, and post-partum care of both Dam and cria. Abnormal births and care of problem crias will be covered. The hands-on lab helps you learn to recognize what position the cria is in, how to correct some dystocias (abnormal positions in the uterus) and when to call the vet. If you have or are getting pregnant females, this is probably the most important alpaca workshop you will ever take.
